What we do

Electrical work, start to finish.

One licensed contractor for the whole job — from a full panel upgrade or a standby generator to the last pot light in the kitchen.

  • Residential electrical

Lighting, outlets, hardwiring, and custom work for the home — done clean and left tidy.

  • Commercial electrical

Lighting design, power distribution, retrofits, and exterior lighting for businesses of every size.

  • Electrical panel upgrades

Older panel struggling with modern loads? A right-sized, code-current panel that's ready for what you plug into it.

  • EV charger installation

A properly wired Level 2 charger, sized to your panel and your car — quoted before we start.

  • New-construction wiring

Full electrical planning and rough-in for new builds and additions, working alongside your crew from the ground up.

  • Renovation rewiring & code updates

Rewires, circuit additions, and code corrections during a renovation — the wiring you never see, done right.

  • Fire-alarm & life-safety wiring

Fire-alarm and fire-door wiring for commercial and institutional spaces, on the timeline your project has to hit.

  • Parking-lot & exterior lighting

Pole lights, wall packs, and pathway lighting that keep a commercial property safe and lit after dark.

  • Emergency electrical repair

Something sparking, buzzing, or dead? Call and we'll tell you straight whether it waits for a booking or needs us now.

Don't see your exact job? It's probably one we do. Ask us.

Standby power

When the grid drops, your power doesn't have to.

Out past the city, an outage can mean a cold house, a flooded basement, or a business that stops. Jayco installs and maintains full-house standby generators that start themselves the moment the power cuts — sized to your property, wired to the loads that matter, and serviced so they're ready when you need them.

  • Whole-home & whole-business standby systems
  • Load management, so you power what counts
  • Installation and ongoing maintenance

Who you're hiring

A crew that started with a vision and a standard.

Jayco Electrical got its start in the Pickering area with a simple idea: do the electrical work other contractors hesitate on — and do it to a higher standard. Standby generators, high-end renovations, specialty lighting — the jobs that need a steady hand and a range of skills.

That range is the point. Beyond the electrical, the team brings carpentry, welding, and general renovation to the site, so the whole job gets handled cleanly instead of stalling between trades. It's a customer-first way of working that has built a lot of long-term relationships across the GTA.

Good questions

Before you call.

How does your pricing work?

We come look at the job and give you the work and the price up front, before anything starts — and the price we quote is the price you pay.

Who actually shows up to do the work?

Jayco's own licensed electricians — a small, hands-on team, whether it's a single outlet or a full new build.

Which areas do you cover?

We're based between Pickering and Uxbridge and work across the GTA and Durham Region, up to Muskoka and the Kawarthas. If you're near there, ask — we likely cover you.

Do you do both homes and businesses?

Both. Residential lighting and panels through to commercial power, retrofits, and standby generators — plus the trades-adjacent work (carpentry, welding) a clean install sometimes needs.

We already get leads from Angi and HomeStars — why does a website matter?

Those platforms rent you the same customer they sell to four other contractors. Your own site is the one place a homeowner finds you, sees your work, and calls you — not a bidding war.

What if it's an emergency?

Call us. We'll tell you honestly whether it's safe to wait for a booking or whether you need someone now — we won't leave you guessing about something that could be a hazard.
